Water shut off system wide

Late this evening (2/11), Burnsville Public Works was alerted to a significant increase in water distribution in the system. This indicates a large water line break. Crews have been out for hours trying to locate the source of the leak, but due to darkness and heavy rains, have not been able to determine where the leak is.

The decision to shut the water off system wide was made at 12:30am to prevent the loss of all water storage and allow for more water to be made overnight to replenish the lost amounts. Crews will begin cutting water back on at daybreak to locate the leak and begin repairs. There is no timeline at this time.
