On Sunday November 21st, Firefighters current and retired gathered for the ribbon cutting of the new Burnsville Fire Station on Pineola Street. Fire Chief Niles Howell and Mayor Theresa Coletta cut the ribbon and welcomed everyone to see the new facility.

Mayor Coletta presented Chief Howell with a certificate of recognition expressing the Town Council’s gratitude for Chief Howell’s leadership and perseverance throughout the planning and construction of the project.

The 14,000 sq. ft. facility is a modern, one-story, slab-on-grade building containing truck storage, a museum, meeting space, and multiple offices. It offers the department room for expansion as they serve the community for years to come.
