NOTICE OF DICHARGE OF UNTREATED SEWAGE on June 4th 2020

The Town of Burnsville had a discharge of untreated wastewater from our wastewater collection system at the intersection of Hwy 19E Bypass and Westover Dr. near TD Bank of approximately 126,000 gallons.  The discharge occurred on June 4^th 2020 for approximately 10 hours.  The untreated wastewater entered into Pine Swamp Branch in the French Broad River Basin. The line was repaired and placed back into service by removing the blockage and doing a pump around.  This notice was required by North Carolina General Statutes Article 21, Chapter 143.215C.  For more information contact Dillon Lundy, Public Works Director at 828-682-2420.
