On Sunday November 21st, Firefighters current and retired gathered for the ribbon cutting of the new Burnsville Fire Station on Pineola Street. Fire Chief Niles Howell and Mayor Theresa Coletta cut the ribbon and welcomed everyone to see the new facility.
Mayor Coletta presented Chief Howell with a certificate of recognition expressing the Town Council’s gratitude for Chief Howell’s leadership and perseverance throughout the planning and construction of the project.
The 14,000 sq. ft. facility is a modern, one-story, slab-on-grade building containing truck storage, a museum, meeting space, and multiple offices. It offers the department room for expansion as they serve the community for years to come.

The New Burnsville Fire Station
The home of the Burnsville Fire Department is a 14,000 sq. ft. facility, located on Pineola Street. The new station is a one-story, slab-on-grade building containing truck storage, a museum, and multiple offices. It offers the department room for expansion in a new, modern facility as they serve the community for years to come.
“We are very appreciative and excited to have a new station that is modern and on one level. It will be nice to have all our apparatus and equipment with quick access. We hope it will be a point of pride for the town and fire district.”
